Located in Southern California, Socal Mental Math Education Center is a well established educational institution, and operated under the United Abacus Arithmetic Association (UAAA). Our staff is certified by the UAAA.
The training provided to students offers not only the classroom experience, but also allows them to gain more confidence and self-esteem by participating in large international competition events.
Given the highly competitive environment, we are proud to claim that many of our students have won numerous championships and top honor awards.
Students completing the abacus program also receive assistance to help with their university or employment application process. For example, we offer internships and programs allowing students to receive credit for after-school programs and work-experience.
We offer classes across multiple facilities located in Irvine, CA and San Marino, CA.

Dear Parent,
Hope you are taking care of yourself and your family. We are reaching out to provide class registration details for your children.
In-person group classes with our professional teachers are available at our three locations. Please see the attached flyers for details. As safety is our priority, we are accepting students by appointment only and enforcing the necessary protocols.
- Diamond Bar: M-F (1pm-6pm) and weekends (8am-4pm)
- San Marino: Saturday (2pm-4pm)
- Irvine: Sunday (10am-12pm)
Online group classes with our professional teachers are available every day and accessible on all devices. Once your class time is confirmed, we will send you a private link and code to join at your designated time.
We have seen amazing results and high demand for our classes, as students quickly accelerate their math skills through our tailored curriculum. If interested, please fill out a registration form for each child and confirm your payment by replying to this email.

2022 World City Cup International competition hosted by Japan
Congratulations to our amazing students for winning awards at the 2022 World City Cup International competition hosted by Japan!
These awards are results of the students’ hard work in preparing for the competition, and we sincerely congratulate them on their achievement!
2019 World Anzan Classic Japan International Mental Arithmetic and Mathematics Competition
Congratulations to our students who represented the UAAA U.S. team at the 2019 World Anzan Classic Japan International Mental Arithmetic and Mathematics Competition.
While Sunny Chen was the champion in the high school group and Riley Trinh was the champion in the second grade group, Julie Chen finished with the third place in high school group 
Christopher Link and Winston Wu finished in second and third place, respectively.
